In the M&A and corporate finance business, it is vital to have a good feel for companies, situations, and people. That practical and successful long-term solutions are found this way is something Jan Poerschmann, born 1970 in São Paulo, has demonstrated by working at a number of projects since Proventis’ foundation in 2001. The business economist’s main focus is on private equity transactions in all phases – from venture capital to buy out. He especially has experience in the TMT and healthcare sector, and with asset-light transactions on a cross-sectoral scale.

Jan Poerschmann accompanies each project from the first contact right up to the final signature. If the customer requires it, he also supervises the post-merger integration. To do so, extensive understanding of the processes, cultures and legal systems is necessary. This know-how also simplifies the work at international M&A transactions and enables him to reconcile the interests of involved parties for a project on three different continents, for example. The Proventis founder enjoys taking on responsibility and finding an acceptable route for all negotiating parties using creative solutions. Not for a moment does he leave doubt about who he is working for and he gives his utmost to achieve best results. His creativity and tuned-in side also find an outlet in his free time when he plays the saxophone and enjoys jazz. Apart from that, he likes to spend his time in the mountains with his friends and family.
