Experience, integrity and an excellent performance form the basis for a trusting relationship – this is something Jost Hartmann is sure of. It’s with these pillars that he can guide entrepreneurs and companies through the complex M&A process and acquire optimum results for them. Developing long-term customer relationships is what has motivated the MBA-certified business economist ever since he founded an M&A consultancy in his hometown Hamburg in 2002. He has successfully accompanied 40 cross-sector company transactions in the last ten years in his role as an entrepreneur and is now looking forward to the further expansion of Proventis Partners’ national and international M&A business.
Providing strategic support to companies in different phases of development is an exciting challenge on every occasion. This would be reason enough for Jost Hartmann to want to build long-term and trusting customer relations. He has advised a service provider’s management team in important situations on numerous occasions to this end. In addition to the acquisition of smaller entities, he also dealt with separating the company from an affiliated group with the help of a private equity investor, and the successful exit some years later. Jost Hartman earns his clients’ trust with professional work paired with integrity, discretion and personal dedication. The father of two is dedicated to long-term commitment and cooperation on a private scale, too: he cultivates friendships over decades and is an enthusiastic team athlete.
Before self-employment, Jost Hartmann, born in 1964, gained experience at industrial enterprises and in investment business. For over three years he worked as a senior manager at the HANNOVER Finanz-Gruppe, one of the leading mid-market private equity funds in Germany. Jost Hartmann worked in leading positions in the industry sector for seven years with Ferrostaal AG and the globally operating SalimGroup. As the European Director at C. Melchers Consulting, he was also responsible for the areas of international mergers & acquisitions as well as strategic market entries.
