Packaging Expert Matti Rovamaa has joined the Proventis Partners Team as Associate Partner

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Matti Rovamaa has joined the Proventis Partners Team as an Associate Partner. Mr. Rovamaa will strengthen the packaging sector expertise of Proventis Partners, an established European mergers & acquisitions advisory firm. With this step, Proventis Partners strengthened its packaging sector expertise to help clients solve M&A- and strategy issues in the wake of sector consolidation and succession issues.

Matti Rovamaa has more than 35 years of industrial and M&A experience in the packaging sector. He served as a Vice President and General Manager at WIPAK Group, which forms part of the Finnish Wihuri Group.

Matti Rovamaa has held global leadership roles in this industry. He has lead leading companies in the packaging industry in the areas of packaging materials, packaging machines and packaging systems in key positions. The main part of his career, Matti spent with the development of WIPAK group. In addition, he also served as President Packaging Systems Division at the former Convenience Food Systems B.V. (CFS).

He has conducted extensive and important transformation and expansion projects. An essential part of the tasks were global M&A projects and important commercial negotiations. Intercultural leadership experience — one of the most important success factors in a transaction — is the understanding of the parties involved: Matti has shown excellent performance in leading global organizations in a corporate environment but also to private equity ownership structures and has wide experience in the management of subsidiaries as a Director.

Matti Rovamaa has Finnish roots and a host of global experience — he speaks five languages fluently. During his career he lived and worked in different countries. He holds a B.Sc. from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration. In his spare time he draws energy from the time with his family. He is an avid cyclist and golfer or driving snowmobile in Lapland.
