Erich Steiner is an executive with over 30 years of industrial and M&A experience in the packaging and automation industry as well as profound management experience. 16 years of general management, including 7 years (2016 - 2022) as CEO in Germany, 5 years of co-leadership together with operations/plant management in medium-sized companies. 3 years sales management and 13 years SCM/purchasing management in multinational groups and medium-sized companies. His industry expertise includes plastics processing, packaging, mechanical engineering and automation technology, logistics, metal processing, apparatus, and equipment engineering, as well as supplying the food and pharmaceutical industries. He has around 18 years of experience with private equity ownership structures and therefore has a solid track record in the successful management and implementation of M&A projects.
Role at Proventis Partners: Erich Steiner supports the long-standing Proventis Partners team in the packaging sector with his knowledge and ability to implement M&A projects with even more knowledge and skills from his industrial practice for the benefit of our customers. Erich is Swiss and an internationally networked manager. He is a successful doer/implementer and has a healthy mix of strategic vision and operational realisation. Communicates clearly and directly, a good listener, emphatic, resilient and consistent in decision-making. High intercultural competence and strong negotiation skills round off his profile. He holds an MBA from the University of Rochester, USA. In his free time, Erich and his wife Angela, as well as family and friends, enjoy poly sporting activities such as skiing, golf, tennis and hiking. As a passionate sailor, he and Angela explore the various seas and oceans on our planet, which are always accompanied by excellent food and wine.
