Proventis Partners advised RTL Group

Lagardère Unlimited acquires Hamburg-based sports marketing company UFA Sports, a subsidiary of RTL Group. With the acquisition, Lagardere Unlimited strengthens its senior management team, which will in future include UFA Sports executives Stefan Felsing, Robert Müller von Vultejus, Nikolaus von Doetinchem and Karsten Mahlmann.

RTL Group subsidiary Ufa Sports employs 63 people in 13 offices in Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Saudi Arabia. Its core business is the sale of media rights, sponsorships, corporate hospitality and testimonial rights, as well as classic sports marketing consulting for various sports.

Lagardere Unlimited is the sports and entertainment division of the French media group Lagardère and operates in this country with companies such as Sportfive, United Sports Digital and Lagardere Unlimited Events AG. The company employs more than 1,300 people in over 20 countries.
