Transactions

Proventis Partners advised Senseca

Senseca has acquired ACS Control-System, a German company specializing in industrial automation and measurement technology. The transaction includes the transfer of all shares of ACS Control-System to Senseca. ACS will continue operating under its existing brand during a transitional integration phase

Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Eggenfelden, ACS has built a reputation for developing high-quality, IoT-ready products used to measure level, pressure, temperature, and flow. These solutions are widely applied in water management, energy production, pharmaceuticals, and mechanical engineering.

The acquisition is part of Senseca’s broader strategy to expand its industrial offering and address the growing demand for smart, sustainable automation solutions. “ACS adds important technologies to our portfolio and strengthens our ability to deliver complete measurement systems,” said Christian Unterberger, CEO of Senseca. “This supports our goal of helping customers automate processes and make better decisions based on reliable data.”

ACS will be gradually integrated into Senseca’s operations, with a focus on leveraging synergies between the two companies’ R&D departments and expanding ACS’s reach through Senseca’s global sales network. “We share a commitment to robust, durable products and have both invested heavily in innovation,” said Joachim Stümpfl, CEO of ACS. “Joining Senseca gives us the opportunity to scale our technologies internationally and contribute to a broader industrial portfolio.”

The integration also brings immediate benefits to Senseca’s product development roadmap. “ACS will significantly accelerate our time to market for several key technologies,” said Walter Vogelsberger, Vice President Business Unit Industry. “By integrating radar and ultrasonic level measurement, we can now offer a wider range of measurement principles, ensuring our customers have the right solutions for their specific challenges.”

Joachim and Marianne Stümpfl, the current owners, will remain in key roles within Senseca. Their continued involvement is expected to support a smooth transition and ensure continuity in ACS’s operations, which Joachim Stümpfl will be leading as Managing Director.

“This is a strategic step for both companies,” Unterberger added. “With ACS, we gain not only new technologies but also a team that shares our values and vision for the future of industrial measurement.”
