Proventis Partners advised Fringsgruppe

Fringsgruppe (“Frings” or the “Group”) officially becomes part of Vidia Climate Fund I (“Vidia”). The partnership supports the long-term family succession for CEO Josef M. Frings, who will move into an advisory board role following an appropriate transition period, as the Group enters its next phase of independent growth. Together, Frings and Vidia will deepen capabilities, expand into higher-value services, and strengthen the Group’s regional Mittelstand position, while maintaining the speed, pragmatism, and client focus for which Frings is known for.

Following over six decades of family ownership, Josef M. Frings is ensuring a structured transition of leadership to a successor CEO. Having reinvested significantly alongside Vidia, Mr. Frings will remain closely connected to the Group as a shareholder in an advisory capacity.
The Group is in excellent shape, and now is the right moment to initiate a generational transition and lay the foundation for the next phase of growth, according to Mr. Frings. Vidia has a proven track record in exactly these situations – family businesses navigating ownership successions. What stood out was their experience in scaling mid-sized companies operationally, and specifically the ability to drive digitalization in organizations like the Fringsgruppe, as stated by Mr. Frings. That combination was decisive.
