Proventis Partners advised PRONAV Group

The Schulte Group has acquired 100 percent of the shares in the Hamburg-based PRONAV Group, which specializes in liquid natural gas (“”LNG””) shipping. Through this acquisition, the Schulte Group is strengthening its commitment to the LNG shipping sector. It takes over a highly qualified team as well as the management contracts for 6 LNG carriers.

The PRONAV Group consists of Ship Management GmbH & Co. KG and the Schiffsberatung GmbH & Co. KG. PRONAV Ship Management provides all key elements of success in the LNG value chain from financing support to technical management and project management. PRONAV Ship Consulting also holds all the necessary certificates to perform crew management in the LNG sector. PRONAV currently has six LNG carriers under management.

The Schulte Group operates as a shipowner and shipping company. It owns around 100 vessels (mainly containers, tankers and bulkers) and manages 600 vessels in all segments. In the LNG shipping sector, Schulte Group currently provides management services for 24 LNG vessels.

Proventis Partners acted as exclusive M&A advisor to the shareholders of PRONAV and initiated the acquisition by Bernhard Schulte Group.
