Andreas Piechotta strengthens Proventis Partners in Cologne as new partner

Cologne – 01 February 2019

Proventis Partners, one of the leading consultancies for companies and private equity investors for M&A transactions as well as corporate finance projects, continues its successful growth path and gains Andreas Stefan Piechotta (54) as a new partner with many years of experience in M&A and transaction services for the Cologne office.

In his career of more than 30 years Andreas Piechotta has held management positions in the strategic development of well-known industrial companies as well as in top management consultancies. His industry expertise focuses on the food and high-tech industries, medical technology and optics.

Andreas Piechotta brings over 25 years of M&A-, Transactions Services- and Corporate experience to Proventis Partners. He comes from Clairfield, an international M&A consulting firm, where he has initiated, managed and successfully implemented numerous M&A projects as a partner since 2008. The sale of Europe’s largest chemical park in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, which was sold to Gelsenwasser AG, deserves a highlight.

Andreas Piechotta was born in Poland and is an experienced M&A expert. He has successfully advised many market-leading cross-border transactions with Polish companies. The acquisition of the marketleading German company Meyra in the sector of medical technical rehabilitation equipment by the Polish competitor Medort as well as the sale of the leading Polish SAP consultancy BCC are to be mentioned.

After studying law at the University of Bayreuth, he began his professional career at Pfeifer & Langen Group as assistant to the Management Board with a special focus on privatizations in the Polish sugar industry. Through the acquisition of several sugar factories, the Pfeifer & Langen Group succeeded in combining a significant share of Polish sugar production.

Andreas Piechotta moved into the optics and high-tech industry and supported the strategic investment management of the Jenoptik Group, where he was involved in the acquisition of Deutsche Effekten- und Wechsel-Beteiligungsgesellschaft and over several years increased the strategic portfolio of this company with several investments and acquisitions, including in the medical technology and IT sector.

“We are delighted to have brought Andreas Piechotta on board as a transaction designer for Proventis Partners. His strategic understanding of the respective company situation, coupled with his enormous operational track record and the large network in the Business Services and Healthcare sectors, will not least benefit our customers,” comments managing partner Jan Poerschmann. “With the expertise that Andreas Piechotta also brings to cross-border transactions, we are able to provide our clients from the German-speaking countries with the following services in cross-border transactions better,” adds Rainer Wieser, managing partner.

Not only Andreas Piechotta, with his international M&A experience, but also the membership of Proventis Partners in the Mergers Alliance has strengthened the internationalization of the M&A specialist Proventis Partners since the beginning of the year. By joining the Mergers Alliance, an international partnership of leading M&A consultancies, Proventis Partners receives an enormous growth boost for its offices in Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Zurich.
