Proventis Partners expands the Healthcare Practice in Munich with Jens Peter Wartmann

Munich, 09. August 2018 – Proventis Partners, a fast-growing M&A advisory company, continues its sector specialization and welcomes Jens Peter Wartmann (49) as a new partner for the healthcare sector team.

Jens Peter Wartmann is a Pharma and Biotech Finance Manager with 17 years of healthcare experience in the areas of biotech financing, business development as well as sales and marketing of generic and originator RX pharmaceutical products across different indication fields. The 49-year-old has been working in the healthcare sector since 2001 and has successfully managed and negotiated around 15 Corporate Finance/BD transactions with the cumulative deal vol- ume over €300m.

His past activities include biotech financing and sellside transactions with international VC and PE investors, M&A as well as pharmaceutical BD and licensing transactions with medium-sized and big pharma companies, as well as several hybrid financing deals.

Furthermore, Jens Peter has ample experience buy-side/BD/in-licensing transactions at European level, mostly for generic products.

Jens Peter Wartmann was most recently Managing Director of Hikma Pharma GmbH, the sales and marketing organisation of Hikma Group in Central Europe. In this position he oversaw Hikma’s commercial operations in Austria, Germany and The Netherlands, as well as selected non-EU export markets. The product portfolio covered sterial injectables for the hospital and retail markets, including antibiotics/anti-infecives, as well as cytostatics and supportives in the oncology and urology field.

After completing a banking apprenticeship at Commerzbank AG and his economics studies in Bonn and Cologne, he started his career as Associate in the Financial Service industry with PwC in Frankfurt. This was followed by positions as Seniors Financial Analyst at a European subsidiary of GE Capital and Finance Director of IDEA AG, a VC/PE backed biotech company with focus on transdermal drug delivery. Jens Peter Wartmann successfully passed the CPA exam in New Hampsire and earned the CFA charter.
